Haberman: Trump ‘extremely angry,’ family ‘rattled’ following indictment

According to New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, Trump and his family were caught off guard and are rattled by the recent indictment by a Manhattan grand jury investigating a hush money payment made during his 2016 campaign to adult film star Stormy Daniels. Haberman also noted that Trump's legal team was surprised by the news of the indictment and there is finger-pointing about why they were caught off guard.

The indictment is not the only legal challenge Trump faces as he is being investigated at the federal level for his handling of classified information and his efforts to overturn the 2020 election, as well as facing a number of other state-level probes. The indictment in New York, which is the first of its kind for a sitting or former president, could set a precedent for other charges to follow.

While some Republicans who dislike Trump view the case as trivial, the fact that prosecutors were concerned about being the first with a historical precedent suggests that this could have far-reaching implications. Trump is expected to appear in court in New York on Tuesday for an arraignment in the case.

He openly mocked hardworking Americans, calling them “idiots” while urging other illegal migrants to take advantage of the system.

His arrogance finally caught up to him when authorities deported him back to Venezuela. His outrageous behavior even caused an uproar on a flight, further sealing his fate. Many are celebrating his removal as a major victory for immigration enforcement, especially under Trump’s policies.

Wrong is Wrong only IF Trump's prosecutions of his enemies are political.

@NateTheLawyer, I strongly disagree with your statement:

[Political prosecutions are always wrong.
-They were wrong when Trump was targeted, and they’re wrong now when he turns the tables on his opponents.]

If you manufacture a crime, if you change a law in New York to retroactively attack your political enemies, that is wrong. If however you prosecute individuals for gross crimes it does not matter if they are your political enemies.

Look at Schiff that had access to various SCIFs(Sensitive compartmented information facility) and lied on the House Floor, lied every night on TV, and used those lies to to alter elections, oust a POTUS all the while intimidating, manufacturing and coaching witnesses. All of the other members of congress with those SCIF accesses KNEW Schiff was lying but could not say a darn thing because they would be in violation of oaths and National Security NDAs. The witness tampering may very well be...

These charges are a long time in coming. It would be nice to see a well managed unbiased US DOJ go head on against federal, state and municipal corruption.

NOLA Mayor Cantrell first got my ire in the attitude she exhibited over the first class seating for black mayors nonsense and the infighting she went through with NOLA city administrators regarding her excesses.
